The South Dakota State Fair is once again getting some financial help from the state treasury. Gov. Mike Rounds has signed a bill that will provide a special subsidy of $768,000 to the annual event at Huron. Similar appropriations have gone to the State Fair for the last several years. Legislators say the fair had higher attendance last year, and fair officials are continuing to make progress on finances.
