Sticky pink cotton-candied hands, bright flashing lights, loud music, the squeals of terror and delight: That’s right, the carnival is in town. Couchiching Beach Park will come to life this weekend during the Rotary-Lions Annual Funfest. This year’s event kicks off Friday night and the carnival rides will continue whirling and twirling their way to Monday. “A new thing this year is the rides are offering a one day bracelet that you can buy rather than tickets,” said Brenda Smale, president of the Orillia Lion’s Club and co-chair for the Funfest.
