A week long celebration of agriculture in Champaign County kicked off early this morning, Aug. 1, when gates opened at the 167th annual Champaign County Fair. The first day of the fair is scheduled to be packed with activities, including several livestock and animal judging competitions, as well as opening ceremonies at 7:30 p.m. at the grandstand. At 8 p.m., Terri Clark, a nationally-recognized country artist, is scheduled to star in a concert at the grandstand. Tickets for the show are $10 for the track and the same amount at the grandstand.
