Salinas, Calif-Friday the California Rodeo Salinas Carnival kicks off in Salinas. His year they are featuring a ride near and dear to the King of Pop. If you are a Michael Jackson fan, for three coupons which is about $3 or a wristband you can be a part of the King of Pop. The Lolly Swing purchased by Butler Amusements in December of 2008, is in town for the Carnival, "This is a beautiful ride, if kids are too small they can ride it with their parents," said Kelsey Lopresto, a Manager with Butler Amusements. More than a year later the swings are now somewhat of a novelty, and big lines are expected for the ride, "I'm sure they'll like the ride and they will go on the ride because Michael Jackson actually use to ride it with his kids," said Lopresto. Jackson fans who hear about the ride can't believe it, "They actually got a ride from Neverland ranch, I'm stunned that's incredible," said Kyle Brandon of Salinas. Thriller fans, and Jackson Five followers, can't wait to swing on a piece of Neverland history, "Michael Jackson is an inspiration right now, after his passing. He's the King of Pop so that's something exciting for anybody to ride," said Yvonne Nelson of Salinas. Butler Amusements also owns three other Neverland rides but they are not here for this year's carnival. Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch featured amusement park rides like the Lolly Swing for nearly 20 years. The Lolly Swing and the carnival will be in Salinas until July 19th.
