BELTON – The Bell County Youth Fair Executive Board inducted a long time employee of the fair into its Plaza of Honor Saturday.
Pam Reavis' eyes swelled with tears as Bell County Youth Fair Executive Board Chairman Faron Phinney pulled a cloth off a circle plaque bearing her name. The plaque is a sign honoring her as a valuable contributor to the Bell County Youth Fair.
"This is my heart," Reavis said standing up accepting the fair's honor almost crying. "These kids are my heart. I have worked so hard, and this is something I will never forget."
Reavis has worked for the Bell County Youth Fair for the past 20 years, starting in 1990, Phinney said. She has dealt with angry parents, children, superintendents and made sure everything ran smoothly.
"She knows every inch of this show," Phinney said. "People think this is a week long event, but it is not. We plan year-round and Reavis makes this happen."
