Anne Arundel County Fair will open its grounds at 1450 Generals Highway to the community for its annual calendar spring events. The following is a list of programs scheduled beginning in April:
Community members performing annual spring cleaning can rent a space to sell their items at one of the spring flea market events scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 10, May 8 and June 12.
This is the fair's 10th annual series of spring flea market events. Vendors are allowed to set up between 6:30 and 8 a.m. the day of the event. The market is held rain or shine. Household goods, toys, tools, garden equipment, electronics, clothing and party plan vendors are welcome to participate. There is no admission or parking fee for persons attending the event.
Spaces measure 10-by-10 feet and cost $25 for an indoor space, $20 for an open pavilion space and $15 for an outdoor space. Additional fees apply for an electric feed or the use of a fairground table for indoor vendors. There are no food, snack or drink vendors allowed.
A teen dance will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. April 17 for students ages 12 to 16. The admission is $5. There will be food concessions and karaoke in addition to the music and dancing. For details, call 410-271-4358.
The annual spring craft festival and plant sale will open at 9:30 a.m. April 24 and 25. The two-day event will offer children's activities, teen idol search and activities for the entire family.
Craft vendors with handmade items to sell can rent an 8-by-10 foot space indoors for $50 and a 10-by-10 foot space outdoors for $40. Additional fees apply for an electric feed or the use of a fairground table for indoor vendors. Vendors will be allowed to set up from 5 to 9 p.m. April 23 and 7 to 9 a.m. April 24. The event will be held rain or shine. There is no admission or parking fee for persons attending the event.
An antique tractor pull will be held at noon April 24 with the gates opening at 11 a.m. There is a $5 admission fee. The rain date is April 25.
Registrations are available in the following tractor categories: 1954 and older, historic 1940 and older, open 1954 and older, and open 1975 and older. Vendor space for this event is open.

Autism basket bingo
Anne Arundel County Chapter of the Autism Society of America will hold its fifth annual basket bingo extravaganza at 1:30 p.m. April 10 at Bowie Elks Lodge, 1506 Defense Highway.
The doors will open at noon. Food and drinks will be sold. Tickets are $20 and include 20 regular games. Participants can purchase three special games, a
King Tutt raffle, a 50-50 raffle and three additional raffles. Children and adults must pay admission to enter the building.
Proceeds will benefit the chapter and its mission to serve as a resource for county residents with autism spectrum disorders and their families. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. the last Tuesday monthly except June and July at Ruth Parker Eason School, 648 Old Mill Road.
In addition to meetings, the group participates in social activities and fundraising events.

Kinder Farm Park Quilters Guild will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Jaycees Community Building, 1001 Kinder Farm Park Road.
